I’m so glad that “self-care” is becoming more and more of a thing these days! Read below to find out how you can practice self care like a boss!
As we become more aware of the benefits of self-care, we can make a conscious effort to practice it in our everyday lives. Especially with all the hustle and bustle of life.
Most of us are wrapped up in going here and there, helping this person and that person and we often forget that we too must be taken care of. Self-care starts with us. Self-Care is a personal journey and our personal responsibility.
The basic idea of self-care will always be the same: we must do what feels good to us and that which nourishes us, without paying too much attention to what works for someone else. I call it a rhythm rather than a routine because it’s never set in stone. It’s more of a living, breathing, dynamic part of our lives that will grow with us and our ever-changing, evolving needs.
Self-care is simple, but it is not easy. It takes us choosing to intentionally make self-care and our own well-being a priority. When we practice rhythms of self-care, we will be more able to live a sustainable, healthy life.
I want you to know that self-care is possible. And that there are brilliant, actionable self-care ideas beyond, the “Take care of yourself” mindset.
I want you to know that you can have a kinder, more intimate relationship with your own well-being, even if you are facing challenges. There are self-care ideas out there that can fit into your actual life.
I found a list that sums up many self-care actions (posted below)
Your Challenge: pick an activity each day this week and do it just for you. It can be an activity on the list below or something else that makes you feel good. It doesn’t need to take a lot of time, it can be a quick few minutes but make it intentional.
Why? Because you deserve it and you’re worth it.
So can you do it? An activity a day for a week? I think you can! Let me know how it goes.
