2016 Reflections – My Year in Review

It’s the morning of NYE, and I’m so thrilled for what 2017 has in store! So thrilled, in fact,  that I could hardly sleep last night. I was lying awake all night thinking of this past year.

If I were to reflect on 2016, I’d say it’s been a roller coaster! From highs to lows and everything in-between.

I saw my father for the first time since 2005. And met my family on his side.

I moved out of the city and into a bigger house in the country, complete with hot tub and sauna! With my best friend! (BIG adjustment but I’m loving the space)

I traveled to many places (for business and pleasure) including my first trip out of the country (I won a FREE trip to Cancun from a contest put on by my upline in my company) **I’m so blessed to have a business where I can work anywhere, anyplace, at any time… I am definitely a “mobile boss babe” and for that I am so thankful. Having the time freedom  do what I want, when I want, and still be able to earn a living is amazing. I love being my own boss and not having to “work” for  someone else and let them dictate my life.**

I attended a Tony’s Robbins seminar and it changed my life. I attended several other amazing training events that have set me up for success!

I lost over 20 pounds in two months using “The System”  and I  made a pact with myself to eat more healthily, take more supplements, and use my skin care religiously and I did just that!  I look and feel better than I ever have in my entire life!

I made a decision to remain single so I can focus on the things that truly matter in my life, without distractions so that I can work on me. I admit, I was lonely for a little bit, but the loneleiss faded away quickly when  I discovered “the one”, and it’s ME!

My team threw a birthday party for me on the beach when we were attending one of our company’s conferences this year! It was amazing and I felt soooo incredibly loved!

I went to Disney World twice!

I started this blog!  Thank you all for taking the time to read it!

I changed my hair color from green/blue to my RED! And Wow what a change up! I think I like the red better!

I hosted not one but THREE themed shindigs this year! (I  actually have a big enough house for entertaining now!) I threw an anti-valentine party with my girls,  a killer black light party, and an amazing Halloween party!!

BUT of course, without the lows the highs could not be enjoyed..  this year was filled with many of them, I won’t go into much detail because I don’t believe in stirring up more negativity while recalling past situations.

My sister, Carissa,  was a victim of a malicious crime and is now in a coma and has been since April.

I lost a man who was a father figure, my best friends dad, Douglas Binkley

One of my best friends lost her baby girl, Brenleigh, 37 weeks

I let go of some of the toxic people in my life.

I had to take a long, hard look in the mirror and take a personal inventory. Realizing that I am the sole owner of my circumstances.

Many more highs and lows from 2016..

But truly, it’s been another year of tremendous personal growth. For that, I am happy.

I think when you fall on your face and get back up bleeding, it makes you realize how far up you actually were.

The best part, is that I’ve been able to bounce back.

It’s a great feeling knowing that the passion and love I have for life is still there.

My friends and family were there through both the good and bad this year, and for that I say Thank You!

I really am blessed for the people I have in my life right now.

I know not everyone is “religious,” but if you’re my friend, you know I am very spiritual. We all have a soul, so we are all spirits. The most amazing gift God has given us, is free will.

We get to choose light or darkness on our journey here on earth. Sometimes it takes being in the dark to appreciate the light in this world.

So for all you souls on fire, thank you! You’re a blessing! Life is so much sweeter and brighter with you.

Every single one of you (you know who you are). 😘😍🙌🏽🙏🏽

Cheers to living every day like its our last, always making time for the ones that truly matter, and making sure we spend this year really making an effort in being the best versions of ourselves! Aka: Goals, smaller goals/steps to tackle them, and celebrate with every success!

Celebrating tonight in Nashville! 🍾💋❤️

I know I am gonna grab 2017 by the balls! Who’s with me?!
